OneADay [037] - Rage

Today Full Sail had Final Presentations as well as a talk from id and Bethesda about breaking into the game industry. Each of the final games were awesome in their own regard. I really loved the season changing in Four Season Sprint. After finals we started the link for the id/Bethesda meeting (which started 6 hours later). With in 10 minutes the line stretched all the way to the door! So glad to be there early. After that I ended up talking to one of the HR's from id. Today was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!

OneADay [036] - Sony

3D : Getting a little cocky there are we Sony? PS3 wasn't the only factor in the success of BluRay (Porn anyone?). Only 20 games by March 2011? How can you promote 3D and make be buy a TV for only 20 games?

Killzone 3 : Without the 3D the game could run faster or push more poly's. The game tho looks very beautiful, even with the huge"pre alpha code" logo at the top. The jet packs look pretty cool but it seems like every game now needs to have one, just like every game needed multiplayer after Doom did it. Some texture pop ins and some chugging but the game is running very smoothly. The jet pack tho takes up a large section of the screen, the guns too. The destructibles look awesome though, there is a lot of stuff going on. (word of the day - "Epic" count 1). 3D and Move? Optional I hope.

GT5 : 3D? Ok I'll bite. (No gameplay or release date yet >=/ )

Mortal Kombat : Please talk about this! Please Please Please!

MotorStorm and EyePet are looking pretty good. As well as tumble. As for Crysis 2 they are going to have to try hard for a good story and not just pretty game. MORTAL KOMBAT FATALITY! I want that game so badly, curse you Ed Boon and NetherRealm Games.

Playstation Move : Looks exactly like the Wii but it is 1 to 1. That could make it better but that wont make the games good. I like the Move's Nike swoosh logo KevinB! The buttons on the Move look rather small, I wonder how hard that will be to use or if I go to hit Triangle and I hit X as well.

Sorcery : Nice gameplay there =).  Looks like a Harry Potters dream game. (Calling that game now, we will see it next year). The potion bit was pretty cool, I will give them that. The character changing is also something cool, ok I am sorry for making fun of you, I like it. The fire isn't looking too "hot" there (sorry readers, I really am).

Tiger Woods : *Wife/Golf joke* Now that thats out of the way. For a casual game this will be very nice. Something my Dad might like. Looks like there is some lag in the control for this game between the player and the game. Overall looks like it be fun to play for a bit. The grass textures look horrible, its the PS3 EA, not the Gameboy.

Heroes on the Move : Nice little mash up there. Very short =(

KEVIN B!!!!!!!! (Epic, thats 2). Best part so far, He is slowly turning to the face of not only PS3 but Sony and Gaming in general.

Move Dates : Sept 19th! Showing some Europe love on the 15th!, $50 and $30 for the whole Move? The $100 bundle looks nice.  (Epic in writing, thats 3).

PSP : New KevinB for the PSP. I liked how shitty the game was Photoshoped onto that PSP.

God of War [PSP] : So short! Why tease us!

Kingdom Hearts [PSP] : W00t!

PSN : The Tester 2 XD, well at least it is free to watch. Love all the content they have but Home needs a lot more work. HOLY SHIT That E3 Home thing is awesome.....I know what I am doing tonight.

Play.Create.Share Little Big Planet 2 : Game of the Year.  Looks amazing!

PSN Plus : Options for more PSN! Exclusive content, betas, early demos, themes and minis, discounts on PSN, automatic downloads. Sounds good! and 3 months free!

Medal of Honor : We already have Call of Duty...EA. I know you are made IW left you guys to make CoD instead but your just copying them now. This is Modern Warfare 2, poly for poly...... Plagiarism

DEAD SPACE 2 : OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG *FanBoy wet dream* I WANT THIS RIGHT NOW!

PORTAL 2 : HOLY SHIT! PS3 you are doing it so right right now! Steam integration and Trailer!!!!!

Final Fantasy 14 : Wow, the game looks stunning! No gameplay yet =(

Assassins Creed : Multiplayer on PS3? Not going to lie, game is looking pretty good atm. Even though I am not a fan of the AC games so far, this makes me want to try it some more.

Gameplay Footage : Dead Space 2 in shooters? Survival Horror is more the idea I had. Whoever makes these videos for Sony has really made me pumped for games I didn't even want to play. GT5 footage, no RD still!

GT5 : FINALLY! This game looks so beautiful. Best looking game around. It is hard to believe this is all being rendered real time! It all looks like stock footage of cars driving! NOV 2nd!

Infamous 2 : Looking good!

TWISTED METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG! Sony you make me cry tears of joy! It looks so beautiful and the levels are huge. I am getting this! No question.

PS3, you were so strong this year! Amazing!

OneADay [035] - E3 Wii

Zelda : It looks ok, Twilight Princess looks better to me. Also they need to get better people to play the games when they demo them. As for the whole "Turn off your wifi" thing that the iPhone also experienced all I have to say is, I use wifi in my house. What stops that from interfering? Makes me not want to pick up a Wii or iPhone but I digress. The game is fun but the trailer looked way different then the gameplay. More could have been done here.

Mario Sports : I think I will pass. Wii sports already exists so many people already own this game. Nintendo seems to really be milking Mario lately.

GoldenEye : WHY REPLACE BOND? Also for a remake it didn't have that good of a graphical jump. Has potential but that would be it is like they are remaking Super Mario 64 where you play as Luigi.

Wii Party : pass

Kirby : Really slow, even Super Mario Bros. (NES) seemed faster then this. It is interesting I will give it that. Have to wait for some actual hands on experience.

Epic Mickey : Must buy. Could be the best non-Nintendo game so far.

Donkey Kong : FINALLY! Get this!

3DS : I have a DS already, and because I can turn the 3D off whenever I want to there is no reason to build a game around the 3D. Games will feel gimmicky rather then Avatar like.

Kid Icarus : Hope I don't need the 3DS for this (see above), it looks awesome. One of the few games here I want to play.

Nintendo, You have a 50/50 with me. You didn't really push motion control too much like Sony and Microsoft but you already did that a few years ago. It seems like most of the new games Nintendo is coming out with is Casual and that is a good move. The world is moving more into casual gaming (Halo, Call of Duty, Facebook Games, etc) so they are making a smart move here. Next up, Sony!

OneADay [034] - Goodnight, Moon

Working hard today, 12 hours of coding and Tech Doc and that is just at school. The hope for the finally coding is being destroyed by the Tech Doc! You shall not get the best of me Tech Doc. Began work on the Rendering Engine, so far we have some features that some other games here don't even have! Lets hope this keeps up the drive for tomorrow.

OneADay [032] - Your Love is my Drug

Get him to the Greek is hilarious! Besides that I played Red Dead Redemption with Rockstar. I love the game and the multiplayer so far. Finishing up the Tech Doc and getting to coding very soon. Every day keeps getting better and better. Sorry for the lack of content, so much time is being put into my Final.

OneADay [031] - Wordplay

Took a day off of the one a day blog to get the flow of being a day late back. Sorry for the jump but a lot of amazing things happened and it was just amazing and I couldn't wait to share. Yesterday we turned in our Tech Doc and other then a few minor things we got some good feedback on it. Afterwards it turned into a movie night were we watched "The Room", "The Land of the Lost" and "Get Him to the Greek". All hilarious! Also played "Red Dead Redemption", and learned I only ever kill the people and skin the animals....The 2k bounty on my head speaks for itself.

OneADay [030] - Mortal Kombat

WOW! 1 full month of posts! Feels like just yesterday I was posting my first one. The guys who worked on Red Dead Redemption came back to the school to do a Q&A panel for us. Afterwards we talked to them and got to exchange information. Now I will admit, after the talking and seeing the trailer I went out and got RDR. It is so weird looking at the credits and seeing their names and you get that feeling of "O man I know that guy, I met him!". The best is knowing they were all students at Full Sail at one time and that they are still cool dudes. Few of them even told us to send over our Final Project games. A great day indeed! Now if you will excuse me...I got some Red Dead to play =)

OneADay [029] - Boom Boom Pow

Gonna skip yesterday and talk about today for a minute. Today Full Sail had a ceremony to open up the new Full Sail Live building. I went with my friends Gary, Steve, Oscar and Bryant. After the cut the ribbon we grabbed a section of it (2ft long) as a reminder of the day. Then we managed to get one of the last 30 tickets to get into the ceremony for the Hall of Fame. We ended up being 5 of the 10 students there (out of 500 people). The best part is that previous Full Sail students were there, all of which worked on "Red Dead Redemption" by RockStar Games. We talked to them outside of the building and ended up sitting behind them. Then they came to talk to my class and I will see them tomorrow at a panel they are talking at. Its amazing to see people who have the same drive and goals who are in the industry and went through what I went through.

OneADay [028] - The Remedy

WoW! What a busy day! Worked on Tech Doc for our game. So much work....After that I got a book, "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies". Gonna start reading it soon. Get some reading back into my life. Also played "Dead Space". Stopped at Chapter 4 (at the gun torrent). Tomorrow, because I am a chapter behind, going to play the rest of 4 and 5.

OneADay [027] - No iPhone

Missed a day ;(

I am sorry, Dead Space got in the way. 5 achievements in a row (litteraly with seconds between them) got me a little to pumped and I lost the time. Was it worth it?

OneADay [026] - Killer Tofu

Started playing "Dead Space" again but this time on the Xbox 360. When I am done I will have this game 100% complete (all achievements) on both Xbox and PS3.....not counting the 3 times I have played on the PC as well. I love this game, one of the best horror games ever!

Besides that I got a ton of stuff done for our Tech Doc and started working on code again. God a few things working and created another small bug (....fix one bug and 20 more spawn, am I right?). One day someone will write 100% bug free code.....it will happen!

OneADay [025] - Torn

Started work on our Tech Doc today. Its crazy! Laying down the framework for our project is kinda awesome. Tho we will won't know if it will work for a good bit of time. It is still exciting to see all the work starting to come together. Teacher says we had one of the best Design Docs in the class, and that was good for moral as we worked really hard on the doc and twice as hard on the Tech Doc. This is going to be exciting!

OneADay [023] - Isengard

Watched all 3 "Lord of the Rings" movies, extended editions, in a row....best 12 hours ever! Worked on a debugger for our game as well. Lets us use the console to print useful information and can track errors (Based on file, function, line, time and date they were called). Pretty powerful stuff.
